Taught Courses
Anatomy & Physiology II
For Undergraduates. Teaching starting in Fall 2023
This course approaches integrated study of human structure and function, and focuses on endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and reproductive systems. Coursework supplemented by laboratory work on models and basic physiological phenomenon.
Animal Physiology
For Undergraduates. Teaching starting in Fall 2024
This course focuses on the physiological systems of invertebrates and vertebrates. The comparative method will be used to identify general physiological principles. The subject matter includes metabolism, respiration, circulation, temperature effects, water and solute regulation, and muscle and nerve physiology.
Advanced Animal Physiology
For Senior Undergraduates & Graduates. Teaching starting in Winter 2026
This course develops a strong framework for the study of integrative, cellular, and molecular adaptive mechanisms in the field of comparative animal physiology. This course follows the concept of biomimicry (biomimetism) with implications for evolutionary processes and interest for potential applications in biomedical sciences.
